Terms of Service
Last updated September 27, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Rubiic LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company (“Rubiic”, “we”, “us”), governing your use of Rubiic Media — our service that turns a written or spoken brief into a finished video (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of them. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use Rubiic
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You may use the Service on behalf of a company you represent, in which case “you” includes that company and you confirm you have authority to bind it. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself; what happens under your account is your responsibility until you tell us it has been compromised.
2. The Service
Rubiic generates video using artificial intelligence: it drafts an outline and script from your brief and source material, narrates it with a synthetic voice, generates imagery and music, and renders an MP4 you can download. The Service is under active development — features may change, improve, or be withdrawn, and we do not promise any particular level of availability. We will not remove a finished video you have paid for from your account except as described in these Terms.
3. Free access and purchases
New accounts joining through open signup receive a one-time grant of free starter credits, with no credit card required. These credits do not renew each month and can be used with the Economy team. Credits provided with an invite are set by that invite. You can continue creating by buying a credit pack or subscribing; either purchase also unlocks the Premium team.
The optional subscription is currently $25 per month and includes 2,500 credits each month. Credit packs are available without a subscription at the prices shown in the app. We may change prices or what a plan includes with at least 14 days’ notice by email or in the app; changes apply from your next billing period, never retroactively. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.
You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancelling stops future charges; your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
4. Credits
- Credits pay for the work the Service does for you — the AI models behind the conversation, research, narration, music, images, rendering, and computing time — in proportion to what that work costs us to run. Most work is charged once it has been done; where its final cost is not yet known, an estimate is held from your balance instead.
- Work is charged when it is performed, whether or not it succeeds. Our providers charge us for a request that fails, times out, or is stopped partway, so we charge for it too. If work failed because of a fault on our side, write to us at support@rubiic.com and we will review it.
- Unused credits remain in your account, including after a subscription ends. An available credit balance or an active subscription is required to create; work can pause if your remaining credits do not cover its estimated cost.
- Work that is already under way when your balance runs out still finishes and is still charged, so your balance can go below zero. While it is below zero, new work that costs credits is paused until you add credits.
- If a payment is refunded or reversed — for example, through a chargeback — the credits it bought are removed from your balance, even if that takes your balance below zero.
- Credits have no cash value, are not redeemable for money, are non-transferable, and expire if your account is terminated for a violation of these Terms. Subscription fees are otherwise non-refundable except where the law requires a refund.
5. Your content
“Your content” means what you provide — briefs, documents, video files, logos, brand assets — and the videos the Service generates for you. You own your content. You grant us a license to host, process, and transmit it only as needed to provide the Service (for example, sending your script to a speech model, or storing your finished video so you can download it). We do not use your content to train models, and we do not publish it.
You are responsible for having the rights to everything you provide. Do not upload documents, footage, music, or images you do not have permission to use.
Subject to these Terms and to payment, we assign you all of our right, title, and interest in the generated videos, to the extent our upstream AI providers grant it to us — their terms permit commercial use of outputs on the plans we use. Two honest caveats about AI generation: the law on copyright in AI-generated material is unsettled and varies by country, and similar prompts can produce similar outputs for different users, so we cannot promise your video is unique or protectable.
6. Acceptable use
The Acceptable Use Policy lists what you may not make with the Service — in short: no impersonation of real people without their documented consent, nothing illegal, nothing that infringes someone else’s rights, and no abuse of the platform. We may remove content, pause builds, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate it. Where practical we will warn you first; for serious violations we will not.
7. Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@rubiic.com with: your contact information; identification of the copyrighted work and of the material you want removed; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act for the rights holder; and your physical or electronic signature. We respond to valid notices by removing or disabling the material, we notify the account that provided it (counter-notices go to the same address), and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
8. AI outputs are not advice
The Service generates content with AI, and AI makes mistakes: a generated video can contain errors, omissions, or statements that sound confident and are wrong. Review your videos before you publish them. Nothing the Service produces is professional, legal, medical, or financial advice, and you — not Rubiic — are responsible for what you do with a video after you download it.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time by cancelling and emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, for non-payment, or where the law requires. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of your current billing period pro-rata. On any termination you lose access to the Service; sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (5, 7, 8, 10–12) survive.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will meet your requirements. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, Rubiic will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for all claims in any twelve-month period is capped at the amount you paid us in that period. These limits apply whatever the theory of liability, and even if we were advised of the possibility of the damage.
12. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify Rubiic against claims arising from your content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of someone else’s rights — including claims that material you uploaded infringes.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction. Either side may seek injunctive relief for misuse of intellectual property or confidential information in any court.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we will give you at least 14 days’ notice by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that is acceptance; if you do not agree, cancel before the changes take effect and the old terms govern your remaining paid period.
15. Everything else
These Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither side is liable for delay caused by events outside its reasonable control. Questions: support@rubiic.com.
